One of the versions, how fairy tales about fairies and other magical creatures appeared, is a story about changed children. Fairies steal human children and put their own children into cradles.
It is easy to find signs of Down syndrome in the description of fairy’s children, symptoms of autistic spectrum in stories about troll’s children and so on. These stories helped to explain the differences of people with features of mental development and disabilities. They also helped in building the wall between people: troll’s children for example could be brought to the forest, where he or she “belonged”.
Today those stories can work in the opposite direction. Inside the project each participant has his or her own story-monologue. They are collected from characters from English myths and personal stories of the students. So that it could suggest the first step in developing people who are different. Professional actors become audience's guides to the world of fairies and other magical creatures. The story finishes with a suggestion for the audience to go to the stage/fairy field to all play together.
