"The longest night and the longest day of the year" is a lecture-performance where anthropological research into traditions and rituals seamlessly blends with a personal theatrical monologue and live audience interaction.

The performance is based on an in-depth exploration of ancient and modern images, myths, events, stories, movies, and beliefs surrounding the two opposite turning points of the year: Halloween, Christmas and Midsummer celebrations. Director began this research while creating Christmas shows for children, a journey that evolved into a profound fascination with the material.

The performance reveals the universal processes that unite people during these pivotal moments, offering the audience keys to understanding their own inner paths.
